MPC Playlist Sorter Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland, Michigan operates MPC Playlist Sorter to organize recordings on its YouTube channel. This policy describes the tool’s access to and use of information.
Information accessed
MPC Playlist Sorter uses YouTube API Services. After an authorized administrator grants access through Google, the tool reads channel identifiers, video and playlist metadata, playlist membership, privacy status, and livestream start and end times. Returned metadata may include titles and descriptions.
The tool receives authorization tokens from Google so it can continue operating without requiring a login for each run. It does not collect or store Google account passwords.
How information is used
The tool uses this information to confirm the connected church channel, identify completed public livestreams, match recordings to playlists using title keywords and dates, prevent duplicate additions, and create annual or seasonal playlists when needed.
The tool does not access Gmail messages, Google Drive documents, or viewers’ browsing histories. It does not use information for advertising, profiling, or sale.
Storage and access
The tool runs on Google Apps Script. Authorization tokens are stored in Apps Script user properties and may be cached through Google’s services. Application credentials and configuration are stored in script properties.
Video and playlist metadata are processed during execution. Execution logs may contain video titles, playlist names, sorting results, and error information. These logs are subject to the retention settings and policies of the Google services hosting them. The tool does not download or archive video or audio files.
Access to the script and its configuration is limited to authorized project administrators. Google processes information as the provider of Apps Script, Google Cloud, and YouTube. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing
The tool sends requests to Google and YouTube to perform its sorting functions. Playlist changes are visible according to each playlist’s YouTube privacy settings. Information is not sold or shared with advertisers.
Stopping access and requesting deletion
An administrator can stop scheduled sorting by disabling the automation. Access can also be revoked through Google Account permissions.
To request deletion of stored authorization tokens, configuration, or application data, contact Elijah Schweikert at elijah.schweikert@gmail.com. Revoking authorization prevents further authorized API access but does not itself erase the tool’s stored settings or logs.
Stopping the tool or deleting its stored data does not remove videos or playlists already stored on YouTube. Authorized channel administrators can manage those directly through YouTube.
Website visitors
This policy covers the playlist-sorting tool. The church website hosting this page and Google’s sign-in pages may use cookies or similar technologies under their respective privacy policies. The sorter itself does not install tracking cookies on visitors’ devices.
Changes and questions
This policy will be updated when the tool’s data practices change. For questions or concerns, contact Elijah Schweikert at elijah.schweikert@gmail.com.
