Warm Hat Ministry
The need for warm hats for our homeless and underserved neighbors in the community becomes a very real issue when they navigate the hardships of winter. The Board of Deacons and Reaching Out Locally committee created a new Warm Hat Ministry to provide hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens for anyone in need. From November to March, Deacons maintain a self-serve station near the Midtown Mission Garden. The accompanying signage indicates that anyone walking or driving by is encouraged to select a hat. We appreciate donations of store-bought and handmade hats. Thank you for sharing the warmth!
