A very old military strategy used to win wars was referred to as “Divide and Conquer.” By separating individuals and groups, power was shifted due to the smaller groups lack of resources. In the context of present day culture, this same strategy is often deployed in order to unhinge relationships through inhumane methods that encourage exclusion, fear, lack of engagement, and conforming to the status quo.

This lecture will discuss how leaders use Emotional Intelligence to restore humanity and create a culture of “Congregational Safety” where everyone feels included, heard, and valued for their uniqueness.
