From the PTS Organizers:
Join us at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary or online on October 11 and 12 for the WMI Conference and Don McClure Lecture. This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Mission in the Margins: Lessons and Practices from the Global Church” with Dr. Harvey Kwiyani as our keynote speaker. Dr. Kwiyani is a Malawian theologian currently serving as director of the ACTS 11 Project: Centre for Global Witness and Human Migration at Church Mission Society where he leads academic programs exploring World Christianity, especially in the context of migrations and diasporas. With Dr. Kwiyani’s expertise in the latest trends in mission, we hope this conference will inspire and equip mission leaders like you all to learn from our global partners in mission. In addition to the lecture on Friday evening, we will offer workshops such as “Being Faithful Amidst Suffering: Learning from Palestinian Christians,” “Equipping Unexpected Leaders for Frontline Ministry,” and “Lessons and Practices from Three Decades of Partnership,” global worship opportunities, and an insightful panel discussion on Saturday that will help us see the U.S. Church as some new immigrant pastors and evangelists do.
