We welcome friends to a Garden Party. The setting is the Midtown Community Garden, a ministry of the church through its Board of Deacons. On Friday, May 13, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Party “guests” will add compost, peat and fertilizer to the soil; set the vegetable cages and teepee tents; and, mark the plots with string for the planting of cold-weather crops. On Monday, May 23, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Party “guests” will plant the bulk of the seeds and seedlings. Party refreshments” are provided: Garden tools, gloves and planting instructions. Guests: BYOW (Bring Your Own Water).
