On Saturday, April 13 Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland again welcomes neighbors from Midland’s Open Door to an evening featuring dinner and friendship. The Friend Fiesta and Taco Bar begins at 6:00 p.m. in Mayton Hall at the church. In the spirit of neighboring, members of the congregation will prepare and serve dinner to guests that include neighbors from Midland’s Open Door. The expression of neighboring builds upon the mission of Midland’s Open Door and its benevolence in providing shelter and meals to those without a home. Its slogan is “Building for Change.” The promise is hospitality and friendships at the tables during the evening meal. The Memorial Church community invites volunteers to assist in the kitchen or to serve as hosts at the tables. The event welcomes households of all ages. It is a fun fiesta with a taco flavor.
