Baptism Application
Baptism is one of the two Sacraments of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is defined as “the Word made visible.” It is an act of forgiveness, a cleansing, and a renewal of faith vows for all believers taking part in the worshiping community. In infant baptism, parents present their child, taking their vows before God and the assembled congregation, promising to raise the child in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.” In the Presbyterian Church, we believe that the congregation plays a significant role in the nurturing of the baptized child.
